Nick's party

What a day! Starting with a hangover was probably not the best way to get organised for 20 children coming for a drop off party however we made through with the help of copious coffee and panadol! The kids had a great time with a dinosour hunt, pass the parcel and statues and of course the bouncy castle which was a huge hit.
Nick had a lovely party and was very lucky to receive lots of great gifts. Needless to say he has been quite happy to be at home this week playing with all the loot.

Nick turns 4

We had such a lovely day for Nick's birthday on Thursday. We started off feeding the ducks with Alex and Claudia then moved on to the zoo for a quick zoom around, then onto Kindy where I did Mothers help. We ended the day with Jenny over for dinner and chocolate cake... a fitting end to a big day!

Video of flying fox

Nick rides the flying fox

Nick, Jacob and Sam had a fantastic time on the flying fox at Matt and Helen's place last week. Joe not so keen, maybe next time Joe!

Lucy's 5th party

Lucy had her party at the YMCA which was such a fab place especially considering it was torrential rain outside all day! Lucy's cake was a triumph, setting high expectations for all future princesses on the day.

Fetch Dog...

This little video is of Nick and his best friend Claudia having a game of fetch at the pool. These two love each other to bits and are inseparable at kindy. We heard today that Nick has had the call up to morning kindy in a couple of weeks, it will be a sad few days I'm sure for both while they sort out new alliences. Claudia isn't 4 till July... a lifetime when you are little!

The Slippery Slide

Hours of entertainment and a great way to cool off!

The Lantern Festival

The Lantern Festival celebrates the end of Chinese New Year, and what a brilliant event it was. The Lanterns were amazing and the street food... yum. Even Nick was tempted by the fried rice and chicken skewers. It was our friend Richard's birthday so a cake was a great way to end the evening.

At the pool

Down at the pool

We are so lucky to have a pool in our local park and have been there most days over the summer. The boys are hanging out with our neighbours Caspian and Jack. Jack's dad was kind (or silly) enough to start up a chain which at one point had most of the pool following along behind.

The sack race at Athletics. Always a popular race!

Nick's a big boy now...

Nick's a big boy now...

Yes thats right no traing wheels anymore. Only one attempt needed and he was off like a rocket.

Joe and Lucy very proud of their crab finds.

Waiheke Island for the day

We visited friends staying at the island and had the most fantastic day at the beach with them.
The boys loved boogie boarding andI think they will be on Santa'a list next year.

Magic Phuket

Well what can I say... 8 days without trantrams, early wakeups, kids dinners... bliss! We had a great holiday, visited markets, walks along the beach, cocktails round the pool at lunch, beautiful spa treatments and generally enjoyed hanging out together.

On holiday after Christmas

We had a lovely week staying at a friends place near the beach.

Christmas Day

Biggest hit... the wetsuits from Nana. Worn all day at Christnand in fact every day... even the really hot ones when the pool water is bath hot!
