The Maori cultural show was a real highlight, Nick was a little unsure of the warrier though but managed to cheer up in time for lunch.

We have been practising for our weekend skiing at Tuoroa... So much gear required for so little actual ski time!

Helping Helen and Matt move

Queens Birthday weekend was moving day into the lovely new house. Hope you are happy in your home Helen, Matt, Sam, Jacob and Kate!

Hedgehog heaven

Pity the poor hedgehog that ambled by at the wrong time. Of course the kids thought it was fantastic and there was a fair bit of stick prodding until we encouraged it off down the hill back to its hedgehog home.

School Cross Country

It was the big race yesterday... our boy showed his competitive spirit and stuck steadfast to the winner's heels throughout the race to scoop 2nd place. Well done Joe! He got to stand up in front of assembly and tell the whole school how he could run so fast (answer: because I've got big legs.)

Student led conferences

"Back in my day" it was a big deal, Mum and Dad off to see the teacher who would report back on various areas of performance at school, well, no more. Now its run by the students who are instructed to show Mum and Dad around the classroom and talk about what they are learning and how they are learning it. We know now that Joe loves the computer and enjoys maths.

One wet Sunday afternoon...
